Another PowerPoint Link

Many people have reported difficulties accessing the PowerPoint file through the previously posted link. Another link that seems to work is

At ALA, some people commented that the PowerPoint slides, as published, were not very informative. I refrained from responding that, if the slides had been informative, people would not have needed to come to the presentation--nor would I have received their input during discussions.

PowerPoint's popularity seems to go through phases. There are those who do not seem to be able to function without it. Others refuse to use it, as the audience spends more time on the printouts than in listening to the speaker. There are federal agencies here in Washington that have banned it from staff briefings. I continually nag the Cooperative Cataloging Team to keep their presentations minimalist.
